Fashion Show – Reimagined for The New Wave
Students have to design original garments that combine cultural roots with futuristic creativity. The runway becomes a platform for storytelling through fashion. Themes include:
1. Royalty Reimagined -Threads of History
-
From the grandeur of Mauryan robes to the valor of Maratha attire, from majestic kings to graceful queens — witness history come alive on the runway, where tradition meets creativity.
-
The Royals Culture: The Silk Route theme can celebrate luxury, travel, and cultural blending—it shows India not as isolated, but as a global influencer in fashion and textiles.
2. Fashion & Technology
-
Wearable Tech: Integration of smart textiles, wearable tech, AR-based clothing, LED-lit designs, or sensor-based accessories that interact with light, sound, or motion.
-
Smart Fabrics: Use fabrics with embedded sensors or interactive elements that respond to light, sound, or touch.
3. Decade Dialogues
-
Roaring Twenties Meets 2080s: JChoose an iconic decade (1970s disco, 1980s punk, 1990s grunge, etc.) and merge it with a futuristic “2080s” vision of style. The outfits should visualize history in conversation with the future.
-
1950s Classic with a Tech Twist: Traditional poodle skirts and letterman jackets updated with tech-infused fabrics, such as smart textiles that change color or patterns.
