Product Design – Invent for Impact

This event challenges students to design and develop a product or prototype that creatively solves a real-world problem and enhances everyday life. It is a celebration of design thinking, innovation, and functionality with aesthetic appeal.

Focus Areas:

Products for sustainable living, climate action, health, or education.
IoT-enabled devices, smart home solutions, or adaptive aids for accessibility.
Traditional objects re-imagined with modern technology, materials, or user experience.
Socially impactful designs aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

Expectations:

Projects may be physical prototypes, detailed 3D models, or concept sketches backed by documentation.
Must show problem identification, solution ideation, user benefits, and future scalability.
Entries should be original, reflecting “The New Wave” theme by merging heritage or tradition with innovation.

Rules, Regulations & Guidelines

1. The idea of the garment must be original.

2. Participants must strictly follow the event theme “The New Wave.”

3. All the artworks and creative ideas presented should be original.

4. No plagiarism—work must not be copied or reused from elsewhere.

5. Makeup (for fashion events) must be done at home or at the venue (no separate makeup space will be provided).

6. You have to take care of your belongings, the organizers will not be responsible for lost/misplaced belongings.

Submission:

The topics are open to interpretation)

4–6 images or renders showcasing product features, process, and use case.
Concept note (150–200 words) outlining the problem, design solution, and impact.
Optional: short video demo (max 2 mins) of prototype or concept in action.
All pointer mentioned above needs to shared via email ignitemeraki@gmail.com The subject of the mail should be in the given format: <Event>, <Team Leader Name>
Also the product features, use case and concept note photo shoot/reels has to be posted on/before 05.10.25 and do the collaboration with "@meraki_igniteindia" on Instagram for final selection.
